PrairieView Golf Club Branding Photography

Fun Fact: I’m an OC Creative contractor!

This August I had the awesome opportunity to take on a photography project for one of their local clients: PrairieView Golf Club, based in Byron, IL.

We began the afternoon with exterior shots, coverage of the clubhouse and bar, and made our way to the newly renovated patio.

If you know me, you know I LOVE a good food photography shoot, especially with beautiful natural sunlight. Their bang bang shrimp, spinach artichoke dip, and hot honey chicken sandwich were to die for.

We then headed to the putting green and driving range to capture teaching moments with PrairieView’s golf pro. They offer Game Improvement with tons of lessons for every golf experience level.

Myself and the OC Creative video team spent the rest of the evening following our models around this beautiful course. I used a combination of my 70-200mm lens and my 85mm and 50mm prime lenses. I learned from my time covering NIU Golf that a putting green + 85mm 1.8 is a DREAM.

Spending time behind the camera for a local business is so fulfilling! Capturing the character of a place that so many neighbors enjoy, while helping local businesses share their story, creates a connection that feels both meaningful and lasting. A huge thank you to the PrairieView team and models for helping make this content shoot a success!
