Sycamore Class of 2026 - Kara

There’s nothing more beautiful than an August golden hour evening in the Midwest.

Kara was a total trooper during this 85 degree photoshoot with no breeze and BUGS everywhere! The humidity and heat in Northern Illinois has been pretty brutal, but the hazy golden hour sky and overgrown tall grasses made the perfect backdrop for this senior portrait session.

We started at my super amazing secret spot on NIU’s campus to get these dreamy forest shots.

We had this perfect pocket of golden-hour light glowing behind her and it was gorgeous!

Kara switched into her second outfit which fit our location beautifully! I always suggest a dainty floral dress, especially for a nature location.

We finished up at the raised garden beds by the Stevenson Towers - I had my eye on these wildflowers all summer! It was great to catch up with Kara’s family including her mom Randi, one of my favorite coworkers at NIU!

Thank you Kara for being my first Class of 2026 senior! Wishing you an incredible senior year.
