Marissa

My first grad of the year! Marissa’s session was on a chilly, rainy Sunday morning, but campus was bursting with color! Not only is Marissa involved on campus in Alpha Phi, she’s also a student teacher for kindergarten and is studying early childhood education. Marissa created one of her stolls with her students, where they put painted handprints all over, along with their names. This was one of the cutest stolls I have ever seen! Marissa will be moving back home after graduation to teach at her former school.

Reagyn

Reagyn is a member of the NIU Silverettes dance team and Alpha Sigma Alpha. She’s majoring in Public Health with an emphasis in Health Administration, and this summer she’ll be cheering on the Brewers as a member of the Brew Crew! Reagyn and her mom are the first Silverette mother-daughter legacy at NIU, which is SO incredible! Reagyn is also graduating in three years and under the age of 21…I am always so impressed by the accomplishments of my grads. We had a lot of fun battling the wind and creating meaningful detail images with all of her props.

Allison

Allison is also a Silverette and is graduating in Business Administration with an emphasis in Hospitality and Tourism Management! She grew up in DeKalb and modeled in a couple’s session for me earlier this spring. We had so much fun going to campus spots that were meaningful to her experience at NIU, like the Altgeld Solarium and Huskie Stadium.

Chloe

Chloe’s session was on one of the first sunny mornings we’ve had in DeKalb! Her mom came along and was so helpful with handling her props, fixing hair, and helping out with any issues due to the crazy winds! Chloe is graduating with a degree in Psychology and will eventually move on to grad school, and she was a part of the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority on campus. We ended our session at the sorority house where she used to live - this was my first time photographing a session in NIU’s greek neighborhood! Thank you to Chloe and her mom for having me on this amazing April morning!

Allie

Allie had a bright and early morning session which allowed us to have beautiful natural lighting. She’s a part of Alpha Phi on campus and is graduating with an Education major, and is looking to teach high school after graduation! I loved how quick and easy this mini session was, Allie was so natural in front of the camera and I’m so happy with how these photos turned out!

Blake

Blake West - if you don’t know that name, you don’t know NIU Athletics. This guy is the epitome of NIU Wrestling and a forever Huskie. 2025 MAC Champion at 125lbs, 2x NCAA Qualifier, and a plethora of other awards and recognitions. I’ve covered Blake since his Sophomore year at NIU and I was so honored to be able to photograph him and his family on graduation day. We squeezed in a last-minute session in front of Huskie Stadium and took a quick detour to the wrestling room.

Breanne

Breanne is graduating from NIU Law School! She did her undergrad at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign before coming to NIU. This was my first time inside the Law Building, and it was so cool that Breanne wanted her entire session within the building. We had a beautiful foyer and library to work with, as well as the exterior. Congrats to Breanne on her huge accomplishment, and my first session with a J.D.!
